Port Mann Bridge officially completed
September 21, 2015 By Andrew Macklin
September 21, 2015 – Vancouver’s Port Mann Bridge has officially completed, saving commuters significant time on their journey between Langley and Vancouver.
According to a CBC report, the $3-billion project has included the improvement of over 37 kilometres of roadway as part of the construction of the 10-lane bridge.
Transportation Minister Todd Stone stated that the new bridge saves commuters around 40 minutes a day, and that the multi-billion dollar project was well worth the expense.
The 2,020 metre bridge is the longest and largest of its kind in Western Canada and the second longest of its kind in North America.
