“The new
OSSGA.com site was designed to marry the feel of a content-rich and
sophisticated corporate website, while providing an accessible and easy to
navigate consumer site with bright colours and vibrant imagery,” said Andrew
Arntfield, President of Field Day.

OSSGA
issued an RFP last year to three vendors. Field Day was one of the vendors
invited to respond due to the success of a previous website they had developed
for OSSGA’s consumer audience in 2008 (TheHoleStory.com). TheHoleStory.com
provided an interactive learning experience designed to raise awareness and
shift public perception of the aggregate industry. The award-winning site
included interactive illustrations showing hundreds of common items that
contain aggregate, and invited consumers to make the connection between
quarries or gravel pits and the products they used every day.

The new
OSSGA.com site has a more consumer-oriented feel and provides a refreshing
departure from the downloadable PDFs and copy-heavy web pages that existed on
the old corporate website. Field Day moved all content over to populate the new
content management system (CMS), however, designed the site so that going
forward the CMS can be easily updated and maintained by OSSGA staff.
