North America Traffic expands U.S. presence

June 27, 2017  By North America Traffic

June 27, 2017 – North America Traffic (NAT) has announced that Chicago, Ill.-based RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc., is the company’s newest distributor and service partner.

As the name suggests, RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc., puts safety first and foremost as the single largest provider of traffic safety and pavement marking services and products in the United States.

“We could not be more excited and proud to announce our new partnership with a fellow industry leader,” says Jordan Sherlock, NAT general manager. “RoadSafe Traffic Systems has for many years been recognized and admired as the most complete traffic safety products and services provider in the United States. That was only enhanced late last year, when RoadSafe acquired our longtime multi-branch dealer, Protection Services Inc. (PSI).”

Today’s agreement with RoadSafe Traffic Systems will expand the availability and on-site placement of NAT portable traffic lights and Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (AFADs) across the U.S. and extend the company’s relationship through the entire RoadSafe organization and its 50-plus branch locations nationwide.

“We are now able to provide greater access to our industry-leading traffic control devices for public agencies, utilities, railroads and private contractors alike,” says Sherlock. “Regardless of where they are working in the country, all users of NAT traffic safety products will receive the complete product offering, service and solutions they need and deserve. Having RoadSafe on the NAT team as a distributor and service provider is a critical part of that.”

“Most importantly, the two companies share the common belief that their products and services are, above all else, about making work zones safer,” says Gary Smith, national sales manager for RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. “We’ve long had great respect for the true safety innovation and vision that NAT founder Peter Vieveen brought to the marketplace. With the recent PSI acquisition, we were able to get even more familiar with the engineering, production and quality control capabilities behind the NAT product line. It’s a really good fit all around.”

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc., in a Nov. 1, 2016 announcement, acquired PSI and added more than 20 locations and hundreds of experienced employees into its existing branch network of more than 30 locations.

“RoadSafe’s nationwide network of over 50 branches and numerous satellite locations will allow us to deliver a comprehensive traffic safety program for all customer projects coast-to-coast,” said David Meirick, CEO and president.

In addition to a full range of traffic safety products for industries ranging from DOTs and utilities to private highway contractors and railroads, RoadSafe provides an extensive array of services including portable traffic control and protection, pavement marking and removal, road sign manufacturing and installation, as well as special event crowd control either on a long term or daily rental basis.
