Simformotion announces scholarship opportunity

February 13, 2017 — In support of careers in heavy equipment operation, construction management, mining engineering, forestry and other heavy equipment industries, Simformotion LLC announces an academic collegiate scholarship opportunity for the 2017-2018 school year. 

The $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in an accredited heavy-equipment-related program at an institution that utilizes Cat Simulators as part of their training program. 

“As a leader in heavy equipment simulator development, we are pleased to once again offer this scholarship,” said Renee Gorrell, vice-president. “The need for skilled operators is growing, so we are thrilled to have the opportunity to help a student pursue an education in an area that leads to employment in industries that are critical to our future.” 

The scholarship is open to students with a minimum GPA of 2.75, located anywhere in the world. Simformotion has offered the scholarship since 2011. Applications are available on the Cat Simulators website or by sending an email to learn@catsimulators.com. Application deadline is May 31, 2017.

Cat Simulators are available for hydraulic excavator, M-Series motor grader, articulated truck, small and large wheel loaders, construction dozer, mining dozer, off-highway and mining trucks, electric rope shovel, FM log loader and track feller buncher.
