Rock to Road has set up a complimentary online Q&A session with tax expert Mitch LaBuick from BDO Canada to learn more about how this new tax will affect businesses and individuals.

September 19, 2017 – The federal government recently announced that it is implementing a federal carbon tax starting at $10 per metric tonne of GHG emissions in 2018, which will increase by $10 per metric tonne every year until hitting the $50 per metric tonne mark in 2022.

This carbon tax will come into effect in any provinces that do not have a carbon tax in place by 2018. This currently includes Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, P.E.I., Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia.

To better understand the potential impact of the federal carbon tax, Rock to Road has set up a complimentary online Q&A session with tax expert Mitch LaBuick from BDO Canada to learn more about how this new tax will affect businesses and individuals. LaBuick has 25 years of experience working with indirect tax, including 10 years with the Canada Revenue Agency, and is an expert in carbon taxes and fuel taxes.
