CEMEX USA honoured by NSSGA

September 26, 2017 – CEMEX USA announced that the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) recognized 24 CEMEX USA facilities for environmental and safety excellence with two operations earning the 2017 Environmental Excellence Gold Award.

FEC Quarry in Miami, Fla., and Center Hill Mine in Center Hill, Fla., both received the NSSGA’s 2017 Environmental Excellence Gold Award during a ceremony in front of legislators and industry experts at the NSSGA’s Legislative & Policy Forum/Fall Board Meeting Monday in Washington, D.C. The annual NSSGA awards honour aggregate operations for commitment to safety and safe environmental practices.

NSSGA also recognized CEMEX USA’s Center Hill Mine with its Stars of Excellence for earning the Gold Award multiple times in five years.  474 Sand Mine in Clermont, Fla., and SCL Quarry in Miami, both received the NSSGA’s 2017 Environmental Excellence Silver Award.  Nine other CEMEX facilities won bronze.
