October 11, 2017 – Atlas Copco Construction Equipment North America has appointed Chuck Westhofen its strategic development manager. Westhofen will seek growth opportunities in U.S. and Canadian markets the company serves through the Power Technique business area: air compressors, power generation, lighting and pumps.

Westhofen has held leadership roles at Atlas Copco for 12 years, most recently business development manager positions with Atlas Copco Rental. His Atlas Copco experience also includes tenures as factory product manager – Rock Hill/GenMaster and product manager – Generators & Compressors.

“Chuck’s background and expertise made him an ideal choice to drive growth as our company evolves,” said Scott Carnell, president of Atlas Copco Construction Equipment North America.

Westhofen is a graduate of Hamilton College. He is based in Rock Hill, S.C., where Atlas Copco opened a new 197,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in early 2017.

Announced in July, the newly renamed Atlas Copco Power Technique business area serves a range of customer segments including construction, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, and  emergency relief among others. In addition to the core portfolio of construction products, the Power Technique business area provides products and custom solutions through a network of direct sales, authorized dealers, rental yards, and manufacturer representatives.
