Montreal announces $1.2B public works plan

April 18, 2018 – The City of Montreal has announced that it will spend $1.2 billion in 2018 to repair roads and water-related infrastructure.
The city announced it would spend $542 million this year on repairing roads, sidewalks, intersections and overpasses; and another $348 million on water mains, pipes and aqueducts. This is an increase of $490 million compared to money spent on roads and water-related infrastructure in 2017, according to recent CTV News report.
