karen_thompson2November 14, 2013, St. Catharines, Ont. – W.S. Tyler
has appointed Karen Thompson as
its new president. She replaces Florian Festge, who has assumed the position of
managing director of the Machinery Division of W.S. Tyler’s parent company,
Haver & Tyler.

Thompson has
spent the past 16 years working in various roles within W.S. Tyler and brings a
deep understanding of the screening industry to her new role. She intends to
continue the long-standing W.S. Tyler tradition of building valuable customer
partnerships though knowledge and innovation. “Customers’ needs have long been
the driver of W.S Tyler’s innovation, and my top priority is to deepen the
company’s interactions with customers so we can continue delivering the
solutions that help make them successful,” she said.

Thompson cited
the Pro-Deck approach to screen media optimization and Hydro-Clean washing
equipment as examples of what can result from strong company-client
interaction. “By listening closely to our customers, W.S. Tyler has been able
to create solutions that address immediate needs and anticipate what will make
them more competitive into the future,” she said. “Moving forward, our focus
will continue to be on deepening those relationships and innovating
profit-creating technologies that help make customers successful.”

Thompson added
that the expansion of W.S. Tyler’s sales and service to offices in multiple
locations in Canada and the United States is a key step to keeping flexibility
and customer service as top priorities. The regional offices provide a direct
commercial and technical connection to W.S. Tyler headquarters in St.
Catharines, Ontario.

“I am pleased
to have Karen assume an expanded leadership role for the company,” Festge said.
“Over the past year and a half, I have worked one-on-one with Karen to make
this a smooth transition for our customers, and I’ve witnessed her strength as
a leader. She has extensive screening solution knowledge and experience and
will drive innovation that will continue to help them succeed.”
