Investments announced for Ontario highways

October 5, 2015 – More than $69 million in new funding has been announced for highway projects throughout central Ontario.
According to a report from The Sudbury Star, six projects in the region will share the $69.6 million in funding. The projects include resurfacing on sections of Highways 11, 108 and 144, re-alignment work on a section of Highway 66, expanded passing lanes on a section of Highway 17, and the rehabilitation of the French River bridge over Highway 69 South.
The projects are all part of the Northern Highways Program, funding being targeting and the construction and rehabilitation of highways throughout the north and central regions of the province.
