Infrastructure Ontario’s loan program commits to three new improvement projects

With the goal to continually support all municipalities and eligible public sector partners working toward improving their communities’ quality of life, Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has announced three new financial commitments for infrastructure development and renewal projects.

Eligible organizations for IO’s financial funding through its Loan program, include:

• Municipality of West Nipissing, for a new police station – $9,500,000 loan
• Town of Bancroft, for a roll-off truck and trailer – $190,000 loan
• Municipality of Kincardine, for a main replacement and upgrades to water and wastewater infrastructure – $8,629,030 loan

With more than 440 public-sector clients, the Loan Program has provided financial aid to various infrastructure projects, including the construction of roads, bridges, arena complexes and long-term care homes.
