Hyundai CE appoints new COO

December 8, 2016 – Hyundai Construction Equipment recently appointed K.Y. Kong as the company’s new chief operating officer (COO).

Kong has been with the company for 30 years, holding several high-level positions including head of global forklift sales and head of production.

“Technology, quality, marketing and HR are the key drivers for sustainable growth in our business,” Kong recently stated. “I am very confident that by focusing on these four pillars we will deliver great value to our customers, grow our marketshare, and achieve our goal of becoming a global top-three construction equipment manufacturer and a top-ten material handling equipment manufacturer.”

Kong replaces S.G. Rhee as the company’s COO, who recently retired from the company.
