Highway 7 expansion to begin next spring

Transportation has announced that construction of the Highway 7 expansion will
begin in the spring of 2015.

Transportation has announced that construction of the Highway 7 expansion will
begin in the spring of 2015.

According to a story from 570 News, work will begin with the
widening of the Conestoga Parkway overpass over Guelph Street In Kitchener.

The work requires the acquisition of 143 properties, 84 of
which have to be expropriated. It is estimated that MTO will spend
approximately $70 million to acquire the property needed for the expansion.

The total cost for the Highway 7 expansion project has not
yet been released.
