September 21, 2015 By Andrew Macklin
September 21, 2015 – Surfacing work on Saskatchewan’s Highway 51 is progressing ahead of schedule according to the province’s Ministry of Highways.
According to a report from 620 CKRM, the $30 million project involves upgrading a stretch of Highway 51 and 21 from gravel road to paved road. So far, 36 of the 41 kilometres of paving work have been completed, with the final five kilometres to be completed later this fall weather permitting.
This is just one of several major road construction projects ongoing in the province. Construction is expected to continue through late fall and potentially into early winter.
