October 10, 2014, St. John’s, Nfld. – Newfoundland’s Transportation
Minister says that the Team Gushue Highway Extension project may not be
completed on time or on budget.

Minister says that the Team Gushue Highway Extension project may not be
completed on time or on budget.

 

According to a report from The Telegram, Minister David
Brazil stated that the highway project was originally intended for completion
this year, but the project is still a few years away from completion.
Permitting and environmental considerations are being cited as reasons for the
delays.

The $45 million highway extension project will connect Robert
E. Howlett Memorial Drive in the south with the Outer Ring Road in the north of
metro St. John’s.
