May 19, 2015 – Fredericton is preparing for the start of construction on one of the largest road projects undertaken in years in the New Brunswick capital.
According to a report from CBC News, construction of the new Highway 8 roundabout will begin in early June. The project has been in development for several years.
The roundabout construction is expected to take three-to-four months, with completion expected sometime in September.
In August, city officials will launch an education campaign to teach drivers how to navigate the traffic circle, as it is a traffic calming measure not previously used in the community.
