grow its Flamborough footprint by more than 127 football fields just a year
after its last controversial expansion.
The Lafarge Dundas Quarry has roots stretching back 100
years and now covers almost 500 hectares, mostly in Flamborough. The operation
churns out between 3.5 and 4 million tonnes of crushed limestone every year —
good for a top-five ranking among Canadian quarries.
