Expo Grands Travaux sold out

March 28, 2009  By  Andy Bateman

March 28, 2009 – Recent
editorial by Aggregates & Roadbuilding commented on the mixed fortunes of
this year’s round of construction industry trade shows. Expo Grands Travaux, to
be held on April 3-4, 2009 at Olympic Stadium in Montreal, looks all set to be added to the
winners list.

Show organisers report that
the stadium floor at Expo Grands Travaux (EGT)

is sold out and expect over
ten thousand people to come through the doors during the two day event to
review “the latest and most innovative products, services and mammoth machinery
available to get today’s big projects done on time and on budget.” The show certainly
seems well timed, given the scope of Quebec’s
infrastructure renewal projects that are already underway or about to start.

According to show manager Mark
Cusack, “The demand for heavy equipment, concrete, asphalt, steel, piping and
associated industry services will be enormous.  As a result, Expo Grands
Travaux will draw thousands of professionals from the public and private
sectors who will be searching for information and solutions about maintaining,
repairing and upgrading our all important infrastructure.”  Cusack adds,
“With the demand that’s sure to be high for heavy equipment across the nation
due to government spending, this show is ideal to see all the major brands
under one roof and to make informative decisions by meeting face to face with
the dealers and the manufacturers.”
