April 2, 2015 - Trimble announced the Trimble SitePulse System, an affordable and easy-to-use Site Positioning System designed for superintendents, foremen and field engineers on heavy civil construction sites. Instead of using paper plans, the new SitePulse System empowers field managers with the same 3D constructible model and digital information that construction surveyors, grade checkers and machine operators’ use. This can result in improved communication, less rework and better decision-making.
March 27, 2015 - Komatsu America Corp. announced the introduction of the GD655-6 motor grader. Featuring 218 net horsepower (163 kW), the GD655-6 is powered by a Komatsu SAA6D107E-3 engine that is EPA Tier 4 Final emissions certified.
March 18, 2015 – Roadtec announced a new development in its Guardian Telematics System at World of Asphalt in Baltimore. Since Guardian was first rolled out 3 years ago, it has been focused on up time and diagnostics. This functionality continues to evolve and be refined but the newest addition is production reporting. This is available on the RX-600, RX-700 and RX-900 right now and will be coming to pavers very soon.
