March 21, 2018 – Telsmith, Inc., a leading manufacturer of mineral processing equipment, enjoyed a successful showing at the 2018 AGG1 Expo in Houston, Texas from March 6 to 8, promoting their T-Series cone crusher hybrid bearing and joining forces with their VIP customers in donating a trackchair to a wounded United States military veteran.

Telsmith showcased its patented hybrid bearing technology – a lifetime component of the T-Series Cone Crusher. Many customers and prospects visited the booth to see the hybrid bearing that provides the ability to crush at lower horsepower with improved lift that helps carry the crushing forces, when compared to roller bearing machines. Engineered to hold up to tough, abrasive aggregate and mining processes, the T-Series cones with hybrid bearings deliver tested productivity, safety, and ease of maintenance with maximum uptime.

Telsmith also promoted The Extra Mile Campaign, which honours those who go the extra mile – from Telsmith employees to people within the aggregates and mining industry, and beyond. The heart of this campaign was the partnership with The Independence Fund and key customers to donate an Action Trackchair to U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran Russell Collins. The Independence Fund delivered that chair in advance of AGG1 and at the Telsmith VIP event showed a video of Mr. Collins enjoying areas of his farm such as the fishing pond that he has been unable to access since his injuries.

An Action Trackchair at Telsmith’s booth drew a steady stream of traffic and attention and many visitors spoke with Director of Development, Jessica Marinaccio about the Independence Fund. The VIP event held Tuesday evening at the Marriott allowed donors to talk with Ms. Marinaccio and with Retired Air Force Master Sergeant Juan Reyes – a 2017 recipient of an all-terrain chair who shared his experience working with the fund and how having the chair has changed his life.

The Independence Fund’s Mobility program helps veterans get back outside to enjoy the outdoors through a variety of devices that include all terrain wheelchairs and adaptive bicycles. Many severely wounded veterans have lost the ability to experience activities they previously enjoyed – from hunting and fishing to simply going outside in their backyards. Wounded veterans who use The Independence Fund’s all-terrain mobility devices regain the ability to do the things they love, transforming their lives toward a better future.
