November 7, 2017 - Washing equipment specialists, McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS), held their first U.K. Open Day at Crown Aggregates Ltd, Birmingham on October 25 and 26, 2017. The event highlighted new washing and classifying equipment for both quarrying and recycling applications.
November 7, 2017 — Getac is introducing the EX80 fully rugged tablet, its first Zone 0 device -- ATEX / IECEx Zone 0 and UL913-certified (Class I / II Division 1) for use in environments with the highest risk of explosion. Zone 0 environments are deemed as areas where explosive gas is continuously present in the atmosphere or present for long periods of time. Designed for use in hazardous and explosive environments, including those found in oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, and munitions depots, the Getac EX80 incorporates a sealed anti-static exterior with surface temperature control to limit the possibility of explosion due to electrostatic charges, hot surfaces, heat energy or friction.
November 4, 2017 – Kolberg-Pioneer, Inc. (KPI), Johnson Crushers International (JCI) and Astec Mobile Screens have hired Joe Schmidtlein as channel development manager.
October 31, 2017 – McCloskey Washing Systems have designed, delivered and commissioned more than 10 wash plants in six months in the United States and Canada.
October 24, 2017 - Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo) and Allied Construction Products LLC (Allied) have entered into an agreement for the sale and support of Allied hydraulic breakers. The partnership was created to offer customers more options in breakers and other aftermarket attachments in North America, and results in the addition of 40 models to Volvo dealer product offerings, including the Allied flagship Rammer and Hy-Ram hydraulic breakers and Ho-Pac and Skid-Pac compactor/drivers. Comparable Volvo-branded products in North America will be discontinued with this new partnership.

October 19, 2017 - Washing specialists, McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS), is continuing to grow its international dealer network, working with existing McCloskey dealers to expand their product range. As part of the support that the company offers, a training session was held in Ireland and attended by dealers from over 16 countries on Oct. 4, 2017 to learn more about the latest McCloskey innovations and product development.
October 19, 2017 – Lake Erie Portable Screeners introduces the heavy-duty Pitbull PB148 Static Grizzly. The new screen pairs well with the Pitbull 2300 screening plant and is an economical option for applications where sorting oversize material before screening or crushing is necessary to prevent equipment damage. The grizzly includes features to allow simple bar removal or adjustments as well as transportability. It is ideal for a wide range of industries, including aggregates, mining, scrap, excavation, demolition and landscaping.
October 11, 2017 - The technology company Continental has recently acquired Advanced Imaging Technologies (PTY) Ltd., based in Pinetown, South Africa, which is known for its fundamental work for x-ray and magnetic imaging-based systems used for early detecting damages in fabric and steel cord conveyor belts.

September 18, 2017 — Superior Industries Inc. has hired Terry O’Hearn as its new conveyor components territory manager for the southcentral United States. O’Hearn will work with distributors in the region to market and sell conveyor components in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas.
