David Chickowski has been appointed Western Region vice-president for Manitou North America. TerraPro Inc., Canada’s second largest remote access matting company, has officially opened their doors to the Ontario market with the creation of TerraPro East Inc. Through TerraPro East Inc., the company now offers access matting sales, rentals, and logistics to energy and utility companies within Ontario. They have also finalized an agreement with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793.
Continuing to expand its offering of job site cleanup solutions, John Deere is introducing the new GS66B, GS72B, GS78B, GS84B scrap grapple buckets and GR72B and GR84B rock grapple buckets into its ever-expanding line of Worksite Pro attachments. The scrap grapple buckets are ideal for scrap handling, recycling centre use, disaster cleanup and job site cleanup applications where grappling power is needed to handle material. The rock grapple buckets are perfect for land clearing, job site cleanup and brush removal applications. Additionally, the new rock grapples allow for grading the site after debris removal.
Trimble announced the release of Trimble Earthworks Grade Control Platform version 1.7 with support for motor graders and automatic guidance for tiltrotator attachments. Trimble Earthworks for Motor Graders is a GNSS-based, 3D grade control solution designed to make fine grading more accurate, faster and easier than ever before. In addition, Trimble Earthworks now gives excavator operators using tiltrotators the advantage of automatic machine control, which can result in increased productivity.
