May 18, 2016 – A municipal workers strike that includes engineers is putting a handful of Montreal road construction sites on hold.
According to a CBC News article, the strike by approximately 440 municipal staff comes after talks broke off between the workers and the city. The workers, which include veterinarians and chemists, have not an agreement in place since 2010.
Six projects are impacted by the strike, including roadwork on Atwater Avenue, Sherbrooke Street East and Marcel-Laurin Boulevard.
