elrusMay 24, 2012 – ELRUS Aggregate Systems
has developed a new Closed Circuit Crushing and Screening plant consisting of a
Sandvik 200 HP CH430 Hydrocone crusher with Automated Settings Regulator (ASRi
2.0), 6’x14’-3 Deck High Capacity Multi-Slope Screen both mounted on an ELRUS
chassis with a 10 cubic yard hopper, 36”feed belt and radio remote controlled
hydraulic side dump grizzly.

The plant is configured different than
other plants of this type. Instead of feeding the cone directly from the
screen, material is sent to the cone by a hydraulically adjusted feed conveyor.
When liner changes or maintenance on the cone is needed, the hydraulic conveyor
is easily moved out of the way allowing maximum access to the cone.

Sandvik cones are high capacity cones
that offer a high reduction ratio and improved product shape, but the ASRi
automated cone control is the brains
of the operation. The ASRi has a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI)
with a touch screen and automatically controls the crusher allowing the
operator to obtain a high rate of reduction and improved particle shape while
protecting the equipment from overload and overflow.

The 6’x14’ 3 deck screen incorporates 2
screening sections on each deck offering the benefits of both horizontal and
inclined screening. The primary high angle panel at the feed end results in
rapid fines removal. The secondary lower angle panel results in accurate sizing
and stratification associated with horizontal screening.

Powered by two 13 HP Electric Vibrating
Motors the screen requires about half of the power of its larger 50 HP
counterparts. It requires just two shots of grease twice a year, considerably
less than 1 tube of grease every 12 hours in traditional screening. And with
no eccentric shaft, bearings, gears, seals, sheaves or guards to replace,
there’s less components that require maintenance.

24 screen bolts, washers and nuts and
no clamp bars compared to 120 nuts bolts and washers to tighten and 30 clamp
bars on a traditional screen. The middle deck can be installed without removing
the top deck and there are also side access ports for maintenance.

The feeder module, approximately 15
cubic yards has a cantilever hydraulic side dump grizzly that dumps material four
feet from the plant. The cartridge type feed belt is removable for maintenance
and is driven by a 10 HP Torspec variable speed drive c/w remote speed control.

All of the conveyors on the plant are
adjustable and are manufactured with Superior components, Pit Viper Belt
Scrapers and motorized head pulleys in order to minimize parts inventories, and
reduce maintenance.
