July 6, 2017 - The Aggregate Resources Course being offered at the University of Waterloo in Fall 2017 will be held Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and covers a variety of topics related to aggregate resources and planning including: geology, economics, licencing, site plans, conflict resolution, cumulative effects, rehabilitation and recent Tribunal decisions. Several field trips are also planned. The course, which is open to industry participants, may be taken at the graduate level or as a standalone course for those who want to learn more about the industry.

April 20, 2017 - The Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (OSSGA) is hosting its Aggregates 101 Training on May 9, 2017.
April 18, 2017 - More than 1,100 contractors attended the 2017 HCSS Users Group Meetings in Houston, Texas. Customers of the company's estimating, job costing, dispatching, GPS, safety, fleet management, and cloud software attended classes to help them use their products even more efficiently. The event also allowed attendees to voice their ideas and vote on features for future development of the software.

March 3, 2017 - The Manitoba Heavy Construction Association (MHCA) has presented to the Pallister government a brief on the implications of a carbon tax for the heavy construction industry, highlighting the fact that there is a dearth of information about the province’s plan, including when and what level such a tax will be imposed.
February 14 2017 - Rock to Road met up with Ontario Road Builders’ Association’s COO Geoff Wilkinson to discuss the success of ORBA’s 90th AGM and convention, which took place on February 6 and 7 in Toronto.
