Frontline Machinery hosts Demo Day in Chilliwack, B.C.

March 13, 2018 – The word of the day is crushing, at least in Chilliwack, B.C., where Frontline Machinery hosted its second annual Demo Day.

More than 130 aggregate producers travelled to the company’s headquarters to view live equipment demonstrations featuring a variety of Keestrack crushers and screeners, including Keestrack’s R6E and R3 impact crushers, a K6 screener, B4 jaw crusher and H4 cone crusher.

Two of those attendees were Ryan Watson and Brandon Campbell, the general manager and construction manager for OWL Constructors in Langley, B.C., a sister company to larger general contractor Tybo Contracting. OWL focuses on road building, fill sites, land improvements, excavations and civil works.

Watson and Campbell were in attendance to check out the crushing and screening equipment in action.

“We’re looking at the potential for producing our own material,” Watson said. “It’s interesting to see all the equipment working together.”

Watson has toured Frontline’s headquarters before, but this was his first time attending the Demo Day. He said there are benefits for his company when it comes to producing their own aggregates – in addition to using them on their own projects – like meeting the market’s increasing demand for recycled aggregate products.

Being able to see the equipment run first-hand is vital before selecting the right equipment for this type of application, Campbell said.

“Getting an idea of the final product you can make is important,” Campbell said. “This is a good showcase for the equipment.”

In addition to the Keestrack live equipment demos, attendees also had the opportunity to see a demonstration of ShearForce Equipment’s SP20V fixed demolition pulverizer attachment being operated by a Volvo EC300EL crawler excavator; as well as get a tour of Frontline Machinery’s headquarters, including the company’s expanded parts warehouse.
