Features Education Event Reports
Expo Grands Travaux continues to grow

April 28, 2016  By  Andrew Macklin

April 28, 2016 – Hundreds of exhibitors, showing off cutting-edge heavy equipment, filled Olympic Stadium last Friday and Saturday, April 22nd and 23rd, for the latest edition of Expo Grands Travaux. The heavy equipment show featured big equipment for big projects and offered tons of big iron on display from major players in the industry.

Originally started in 2006, Expo Grands Travaux now has over a decade of history and growth behind it. This year’s edition was a great success, with 12,676 qualified buyers walking the show floor.

“This was a good year for Expo Grands Travaux,” said Mark Cusack, National Show Manager. “Friday was very strong with a long line of people waiting to come in when the show opened. Saturday was steady throughout the day. I’m hearing reports of lots of quality leads from the floor.”

“Exhibitors were positive and seemed optimistic about the state of the industry over the next few years,” he added. “As a result of that, rebookings for the next show were strong; lots of the larger exhibitors have already solidified their location for EGT 2018.”

The 2016 edition of the show included a focus on winter management equipment, a series of thought-provoking, educational seminar sessions presented by SIMA (Snow & Ice Management Association), and a Recruiting Here feature, which connected job seekers with exhibiting companies on the hunt for new talent.

Rock to Road was the official show guide provider for this year’s show, proudly continuing our long-standing relationship with the show’s management team.

Next up is TRUXPO and the Pacific Heavy Equipment Show, taking place May 13th and 14th at Tradex in Abbotsford. Stay tuned to www.ExpoGrandsTravaux.ca or find the show on Facebook for details on the 2018 edition of Expo Grands Travaux.
