Dump truck driver facing charges UPDATE: video of crash released

A dump truck driver is facing charges after leaving the truck’s container lifted and driving it into a pedestrian overpass in the eastbound lanes on Highway 401 in Mississauga Wednesday morning, Ontario Provincial Police say.

The OPP said a dump truck dumped a load and proceeded to travel underneath the Creditview overpass while its container was in an upright position.

The dump truck – which was empty – was in the area for construction on the nearby collector lane.
