Dufferin looks to expand quarry east into Halton Hills

The Milton Quarry expansion is, to put it lightly, a complex file. As its name suggests, the lion’s share of the quarry is located in Milton, Ont. But a small section extends across the border into Halton Hills.

Dufferin Aggregates, which owns the quarry, is hoping to expand further east into Halton Hills, adding about 60 hectares of land. This multi-jurisdiction development is in the hands of Halton Region.

Dufferin has told the Town that this expansion will be their last at the site. The owners have either finished extracting materials or natural features in the area are limiting their ability to do further excavation.
