July 28, 2015  By  Andrew Macklin

July 28, 2015 – The Cornerstone Standards Council (CSC) is proud to welcome the addition of John Moroz, Wendy Franks and John Matheson to the CSC Board of Directors. These new additions add further diversity and strength to CSC’s Board and position it well as we work through a two-year pilot phase that involves testing the standard on the ground, hosting educational forums, soliciting input from all stakeholders.

Background on CSC’s new Directors:

John Moroz: A former Director with the Aggregate Forum of Ontario and Chair of the Ontario Sand, Stone and Gravel Association’s (OSSGA) rehabilitation committee John is a strong supporter of developing tools that recognize sites that operate to a higher Standard. CBM/St Marys is a sector leader in rehabilitation to conservation use and has proudly received the OSSGA Bronze Plaque Award for its Wildwood Pit and the 2015 Outstanding Achievement in Property Rehabilitation Award for its Sugarbush Pit.

Wendy Franks: With a family home in the Clearview area Wendy is familiar with aggregate issues that impact the quality of life for local community members. Having participated during an Ontario Municipal Board hearing Wendy has extensive experience with the current aggregate licensing process. Wendy is currently a Principal at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) where she works within the Public Market Investment department.
