June 24, 2016 By Andrew Snook
June 24, 2016 – An asphalt resurfacing project for the Coquihalla Highway in B.C., a section of Highway 5, will begin next month with resurfacing taking place in the three stretches of the mountain pass – between the Nicolum Creek Bridge and Portia Bridge, from the Portia Bridge to the Box Canyon area, and between Ottomite Bridge and the Zopkios brake check, according to a recent article in the Merritt Herald.
In total, the resurfacing project will cover 35 kilometres of highway across the busy mountain pass. The project is expected to be complete in September 2016.
