CM Labs releases Telehandler Simulator Training Pack

May 3, 2023, MONTREAL – CM Labs released the Telehandler Simulator Training Pack, which the company describes as the only simulation-based solution to accurately replicate telehandler machine stability and engine behaviour currently on the market.

Through targeting key industry issues such as sustainability, safety, and equipment maintenance, the training pack aims to efficiently train operators on skills including control familiarity, trailer loading and unloading, lifting from ground and heights, live attachment change, and shuttle operations.

The training simulator offers users live-tracked data and feedback collected during performance exercises, providing them with an overview of operational proficiency in areas such as safety violations, tipping or flipping, loads dropped, machine stability, and fuel efficiency. This offers an alternative to standard initial training programs that avoids the on-site costs usually associated with inexperienced handling such as equipment wear-down and fuel usage.

By replicating machine behaviour, users are placed in real-world scenarios to increase their familiarity and understanding of a vehicle’s acceleration and steering, gear shifting, tire feel, boom backlash, and deflections while driving. The training pack also features realistic earth and asset behaviour that aids in safer and improved cycle times by reinforcing proper load positioning, lifting, and blind spot awareness.

The Telehandler Simulator Training Pack is compatible with the line-up of CM Labs’ Vortex simulators: the desktop platform Vortex Edge Plus, the motion-enabled Vortex Edge Max, and the immersion-focused Vortex Advantage suite.
