Caterpillar has created a life-size “Hot Wheels” track to show off some of its latest equipment and services.

Cat Trial 11: Hot Wheels is a showcase for the Next Generation Cat Wheel Loaders and other Cat gear. Professional stunt drivers, track designers and equipment operators came together to develop and test the setup, shown in the video below.

The operators test-driving the tech were Thomas Brown of Morgan Corp., Edgardo Montano of ER Jahna, Ryan Hinojosa of Silver Creek Materials, Tia Shadley of Illinois Civil Contractors Inc., Anthony Alonzo of Wells Excavation and Teresa Braun of N.E. Finch Co.

In addition to demonstrating the Next Generation Cat Wheel Loaders, each car involved in the Cat Trial 11 highlights company services.

The baja truck highlights the Cat Certified Rebuild Program, which allows customers to return end-of-life machines, systems and components to like-new condition at a fraction of the cost of buying new.

The buggy shows off the Cat self-service options, which offer a range of common repair options customers can perform themselves.

One of the loop cars demonstrates how hoses and couplings are critical components for hydraulic equipment. Caterpillar says it is the only OEM that supplies its own hoses, couplings and assembly kits.

Another loop car advertises Cat Financial, which offers a credit card to pay for parts, service, rentals and more. Multiple users can be on one account and include expense tracking by job.

A Hot Wheels version of the Cat Dealer Service truck “Rip Rod” highlights the five levels of repair options Cat provides.

The Cat Rental Store supplied the genset that powered the Hot Wheels Power Booster for the Cat Trial 11, giving the cars the extra boost they needed to perform drifts.
