potential solutions to avoid raising property taxes for homeowners.
According to the report from Global News in Calgary, the
funding shortfall in the community is providing the fodder for discussion of a
variety of alternative funding initiatives, including the idea of providing a
road toll for drivers accessing the community.
The road tolls would provide a level of funding from people
who work or play within Calgary but are not part of the city’s traditional tax
base.
