Bypass construction running 24 hours a day

January 15, 2016  By  Andrew Macklin

January 15, 2016 – Construction work on the new Regina Bypass is running around the clock thanks to the milder winter weather.

According to a report from CJME 980, work on a section of the new bypass east of Tower Road is running 24 hours a day as the weather allows for night crews to be scheduled.

According to the project’s area manager, the hiring of night crews is not having an impact on the cost of delivery of the project. The overall cost sits at $1.88 billion.

Construction of the Regina Bypass is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
