Bridge rehabilitation begins in Tillsonburg, Ontario
May 21, 2020 By Woodstock Sentinel Review
Tillsonburg, Ont. – The Oxford and Simcoe Street construction project—funded largely through the provincial Transportation Ministry’s Connecting Links program—will mean some slower traffic in that area of Tillsonburg.
The project is for preventative repair work on the bridge over Big Otter Creek and road rehabilitation from Broadway to Vienna Road. It received $1.578 million from the province—90 per cent of the eligible costs – leaving the town to pick up roughly $150,000, Kevin Deleebeeck, Tillsonburg’s director of operations, said.
The program supports the construction, renewal, rehabilitation and replacement of infrastructure that connect the two ends of a provincial highway in a community. | Woodstock Sentinel Review reports
