
February 12, 2016 – The City of Barrie will have one of its largest roadbuilding budgets in 2016 as it tackles a series of construction and rehabilitation projects throughout the city.
According to a story from the Barrie Examiner, the city of around 145,000 has budgeted $40.1 million to tackle a total of 68 projects.
Work being done on Mapleview Drive East is the largest project the city is undertaking this coming year, at accost of just under $7.6 million. That project includes widening and reconstruction work, as well as upgrades to sidewalks and storm sewers.
