ASGA Convention date changed; election still taking place

Due the ongoing spread of COVID-19 coronavirus cases, the Alberta Sand & Gravel Association (ASGA) has decided to reschedule its 2022 Convention from January 19 to 20 to March 30 to 31, 2022.

“It was becoming very obvious it was going to be a challenge for both delegates and presenters to make the dates we had, and we felt we were going to make everyone’s life easier to move to March 30 and 31,” said ASGA executive director John Ashton.

“We still hope to have a great convention that’s logistically a little easier to run and participate on those dates. We hope to see everybody there.”

The 2022 Convention agenda will feature a wide variety of interesting content including the Land & Environment Committee panel on environmental permitting; the Community Aggregate Payment (CAP) Levy panel; the OH&S Committee report; the presentation of the ASGA Award of Excellence winning project (BURNCO and the Cochrane Reclamation); and much more.

ASGA Board of Directors elections

The election of three members to ASGA’s Board of Directors will still take place from January 16 to 20. Voting members have been emailed instructions on how to vote online.
