Effective Oct. 1, 2019, Ann-Sofie Räftegård will take on the role of senior vice-president, human resources, at Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE).

Räftegård will lead human resources by driving talent management, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, diversity and engagement of Volvo CE’s global workforce of more than 14,000 people. She will report to company president Melker Jernberg and be a member of the executive management team (EMT).

‘I am very excited to join the Volvo Group and Volvo Construction Equipment,” she said. “Besides joining a recognized and interesting company and brand, I see myself joining a journey and an industry in transformation with endless opportunities to connect people and business for success. That is what inspires me.”

She joins Volvo from having spent more than three years at the Swedish Höganäs Group, where she was senior vice-president of human resources. Prior to that, she held important roles at IKEA, Daimler/Mercedes Benz, Johns Manville and Perstorp.

Volvo CE president Melker Jernberg said, “I am delighted to welcome Anne-Sophie to her new role. I know she will make a very strong contribution to our company at this important time for the business.”
