Las Vegas set to host the industry’s largest equipment showcase: CONEXPO-CON/AGG.

The 2014 edition of CONEXPO-CON/AGG is already shaping up to be a legendary show, with many major manufacturers making plans for big new equipment rollouts as part of their presence at the show. Some 2,400 exhibitors will be present to show off the latest innovations and technologies to an expected audience of over 125,000 people across the five days of the show.

In addition to the trade show, CONEXPO-CON/AGG also presents an excellent education program designed to address the biggest issues, trends and technologies that are important to the industry in
North America.

As part of our coverage of the show, we have reached out to some of the biggest equipment manufacturers that serve the Canadian market to find out what they will be presenting at CONEXPO-CON/AGG this year.


Powerscreen > Booth: 1047

Powerscreen, one of the world’s leading providers of mobile crushing and screening equipment, will attend CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014. Powerscreen will be exhibiting on the Terex stand the following three new machines: the Powerscreen® Premiertrak™ 300 jaw crusher, Powerscreen® Trakpactor™ 320SR impact crusher and the Powerscreen® Warrior™ 2100 screen. All of the machines on display will showcase the rugged new look from Powerscreen, which maintains the traditional Powerscreen green colour while adopting a dark grey colour on the chassis and conveyors.



Polydeck

Polydeck Screen Corporation will feature several new products at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, including an exciting new fine sizing screen panel design called VST, or Vector Slot Technology (patent pending), Polydeck’s new heavy-duty dewatering screen panel, specially designed to carry the weight of thick bed depths, and their expanded Armadex™ high-performance bolt-down rubber product line of screen sections and liners.



Terex-Finlay

CONEXPO-CON/AGG marks the first time either the J-1170 jaw crusher or 684 3-deck inclined screen have been displayed at a show in North America. Both machines were introduced during the past 12 months to the North American market, and have made a big impact on the market, becoming firm favourites with their operators and gaining greater awareness among many owner/operators in
the industry.



 EdgeInnovate  

Edge Innovate > Booth: 9338
Edge Innovate will be exhibiting a selection of its product portfolio, including the Slayer XL, LTS tracked stacker and TRM622 Trommel. Be sure to stop by the stand to speak to our team about such new offerings as the new EDGE Roll Sizer.



DCT  

Dust Control Technology > Booth: 711
The DustBoss® DB-100 combines an oscillating ducted fan with an engineered mist to provide high-performance dust suppression. Proprietary technology customizes the outflow to address specific particle sizes and worksite conditions. With a range of 100 meters, the large oscillating unit can blanket 280,000 square feet (six-plus acres) with a fine mist of water droplets optimized for maximum dust management. 



WIRTGEN  

Wirtgen Group > Booth: 51021
Wirtgen America will occupy the 39,600-square-foot stand – No. 51021 – in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. There it will display new asphalt pavers of all sizes from Vögele, concrete slipform pavers, cold mills and recyclers from Wirtgen, asphalt and soil compactors from Hamm, and mobile crushers from Kleemann.

New Tier 4 interim-compliant equipment from Wirtgen Group featuring intelligent technology – designated “i-series” models – will be featured as part of the 41-
machine exhibit.



Volvo  

Volvo CE > Booth: 10951, 1300
Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is pulling out all the stops for CONEXPO 2014, the year’s largest construction exhibition held at the Las Vegas Convention Center March 4-8. The company will be showcasing more than 17 innovative products, including a new generation of E-Series excavators, G-Series articulated haulers and H-Series wheel loaders. These new machine ranges not only meet the strict requirements of the new Tier 4 Final/Stage IV emissions legislations, but also improve productivity, efficiency and serviceability.



TerexMHS  
   

Terex Mineral Processing Systems > Booth: 1047
Terex® Minerals Processing Systems will be displaying a new jaw crusher, a new screen and a new cone crusher at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. The new CRJ3750 Portable Jaw Plant is an impressive, large-capacity, highly mobile unit. The new, revolutionary LJ-TS “V” Series Horizontal Screen features variable slope and delivers unmatched production. The new MVP380X Cone Crusher features major enhancements that increase productivity and ease of use.



 Telsmith  

Telsmith > Booth: 50327
Telsmith will have its 820 Track Screening Plant on display at CONEXPO, which is designed to provide the ultimate in mobility for aggregate processing operations. Utilizing an 8203 Telsmith screen, the 820 plant can process up to 907 mtph (1000 stph) and produce up to four products simultaneously. Solutions from Telsmith include product life-cycle support with parts availability and factory-trained service technicians.



Flexco  

Flexco > Booth: 7710
Flexco will be addressing splicing, cleaning, tracking and belt slippage challenges using a wide variety of solutions. Flexco Slider Beds, which are engineered to provide containment around loading zones, will be featured at the show. Experienced Flexco team members will be available to discuss the entire system and help attendees identify challenges and ways to increase the efficiency and productivity of their operations.



 PPI  
   

PPI > Booth: 52072
PPI is unveiling a new and cost-effective solution for your impact and loading zone requirements with the addition of our medium-duty impact bed. PPI has developed an impact bed that is an ideal combination of impact absorption and belt support that promotes a tight seal against your skirting system. A modular design, available in two-, four- and five-foot lengths with foldable wings allow the user to configure to their unique needs.



ADM  

ADM > Booth: 8610
Asphalt Drum Mixers Inc. offers its EX Series asphalt plants with single-drum counterflow technology. The plants are efficient and compact for contractors with low-to-medium production needs. The plants produce 100 to 425 tons per hour at low cost-per-ton. They boast the longest aggregate drying and mixing times in the industry, and can process high percentages of RAP. The EX Series has separate drying and mixing zones to achieve maximum heat transfer and fuel efficiency.



Metso  

Metso > Booth: 50979
The highlight of Metso’s booth at CONEXPO-CON/AGG will be a new two-in-one model belonging to our innovative Lokotrack product group. This new mobile equipment is a true showstopper, reducing transportation costs and set-up time whilst delivering optimum fuel efficiency. We will tell more of this groundbreaking product during the show. It is designed to work together with our Lokotrack LT106 mobile jaw plant, which will also be showcased at CONEXPO.



 BOMAG  

Bomag > Booth: 50675
Bomag presents Tangential Oscillation on its new BW161ADO-4 tandem roller. This well-established exciter system has been assessed and further optimized. The defining result is improved power for vibration generation and perfectly matched compaction parameters. Bomag oscillation makes use of physical laws of vibration generation. The careful co-ordination of exciter system to drum weight ratios is the basis for Bomag’s tangential oscillation. Target applications for this technology are on bridge structures and working close to buildings.



Loadrite

Load-out within any quarry operation is an important stage that needs to be well designed and considered. There is scope to save time and increase profits by understanding the specific needs of your quarry weighbridge and stockpile areas and how the interface between these operations directly affects your quarry productivity and profit. Exclusively at 2014 CONEXPO, Loadrite, a manufacturer of onboard weighing equipment, will unveil the solution to increasing productivity and profit on your site.



McClanahan  

McClanahan > Booth: 51756
McLanahan will premiere four equipment designs to help producers to do more than ever before. Brand new capabilities in crushing include a cone crusher and a line of hard rock jaw crushers that will change primary crushing stations from a low- to high-productivity element in the processing system. Two solutions for water management will also be introduced. The recessed plate filter press has undergone extensive design changes to enhance its safety and simplicity, and McLanahan will introduce its new, field-proven deep cone thickener design.



 Roadtec

Roadtec, Inc. introduces the SX-8e as the latest addition its new product line. This 755-horsepower reclaimer-stabilizer comes with a list of features that highlight the machine’s performance, durability and accessibility. SX-8e is a versatile full-sized stabilizer-reclaimer that is capable of performing in various applications. True to the Roadtec way, the machine remains extremely operator-friendly with simplified controls.



Deister  

Deister > Booth: 51572
Deister Machine Company introduces its new Ultra-Fines Recovery System (UFR), which is designed to recover ultra-fine sands and silts in quarry applications; or to recover tailings in various mining applications, allowing operations to eliminate or greatly reduce the use of maintenance-intensive settling ponds. As a far more cost-efficient alternative to the use of costly plate filter presses, for example, the Deister Ultra-Fines Recovery System enables producers to create a dry tailing or silt product that can be stockpiled prior to removal or used as a salable product.



 Superior

Superior Industries will highlight its RazerTail® Truck Unloader featuring a 48-inch belt and an adjustable height discharge conveyor. At capacities averaging 1,000 tons per hour, the RazerTail speeds belly and end-dump truck cycle times, minimizes costly loader use, increases jobsite safety, and guarantees product quality by eliminating extra handling of materials in aggregate, recycle, construction, and marine handling applications. Requiring only a five-minute setup time, its onboard truck ramps eliminate the need for earthen ramps. When used in conjunction with automated telescoping radial stacking conveyors, operations realize even greater quality control and cost-per-ton savings.



 Fisher-Industries  

Fisher Industries > Booth: 51811
Although Fisher Industries serves all aspects of the aggregate processing industry, for this exhibit the company will focus on its manufacturing division, which designs and fabricates high-quality customized aggregate processing equipment. One of our featured products will be our patented Air Separator that has the ability to “dry” process materials and remove excess fines, thus promoting a clean and efficient operation.



John-Deere  

John Deere > Booth: 12621
John Deere will have several pieces of equipment on display, including the new G-Series Motor Graders, E-Series Skid Steers/Compact Track Loaders and the popular 644K Hybrid Wheel Loader. John Deere’s exclusive WorkSight technology will be front and centre as well.



CASE  

Case > Booth: 11722
Case Construction Equipment will showcase major new product introductions to its heavy product line at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014. This includes the new Case M Series dozer line, and to-be-announced updates to primary heavy product lines such as excavators, wheel loaders and compactors. The “Dire States: the Drive to Revive America’s Ailing Infrastructure” tour also will roll into Las Vegas with a rally event and panel discussion (schedule TBD).



BTI  

BTI > Booth: 50327
Breaker Technology Inc. (BTI) will be bringing three new products to the CONEXPO this year. BTI is proud to introduce the “Mine Runner” all-purpose vehicle. The APV Mine Runner is designed to lower safety, lower emissions and increase productivity. Next, BTI’s biggest hydraulic hammer yet, the BXR185, will weigh in at 15,400 pounds (7,000 kilograms) with a rock shattering 18,500 foot-pounds (25,000 joules). Also, be sure to check out our fifth-generation NT-E Series Rockbreaker stationary hydraulic boom system, which comes with the newly engineered PP60 Power Pack.



KPI-JCI  

KPI-JCI > Booth: 50327
During CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014, KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens will exhibit a number of new products that were launched in 2013, including a new 170-foot-long SuperStacker™, the Kodiak Plus® K500+ Cone Crusher, the Series 9000 Dewatering Screen, a high-frequency screen for the industrial sands market, the FT2650 Jaw Crusher with pre-screen option and the new-generation 3055 Vanguard Jaw Crusher.



Luff

Doosan

The Doosan DX140LC-3 features a 109-horsepower interim Tier 4 compliant engine, paired with new power modes that provide improved performance and faster workgroup speeds for heavy-duty work. Four work modes – digging, breaker, shear and lifting – allow operators to get maximum efficiency and fuel economy. A new electronic clutch fan reduces fuel consumption and noise levels, while providing cooling system improvements.



SBM-0103  

SBM Mineral Processing GmbH > Booth: 4391
SBM Mineral Processing GmbH of Austria brings SBM and MFL brands to CONEXPO. The company’s stationary, semi-mobile and mobile plants process natural aggregates, ores and coal; recycle construction materials; and are globally associated with profitability and value. SBM is known for using the latest technology and for its diesel electric drive systems.



 Cat

Four Caterpillar exhibit areas totaling about 60,000 square feet of floor space will showcase more than 40 machines. More than a dozen new Cat machines will make their North American trade show debut at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. The newest Cat machines to be displayed include F Series hydraulic excavators, M Series medium wheel loaders, new C Series articulated trucks and G Series off-highway rigid-frame trucks, a new track-type tractor, a new wheel tractor-scraper and a new track drill.



 Sandvik

Two new products will highlight Sandvik’s display at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. The all new patented Sandvik CH550 is based on the proven HYDROCONE TM design, with the CH550 combining the ability to produce excellent shaped products, in fewer crushing stages, thereby making it adaptable to ever-changing customer requirements. With a choice of three concaves, and four bush settings to control the closed side settings and material gradation, the QS441 is ideally suited for crusher run, ballast / drainage stone or material for a tertiary crushing plant.
