CSC looking for auditors

May 8, 2017  By Cornerstone Standards Council

May 8, 2017 – The Cornerstone Standards Council (CSC) is a charitable organization that creates, administers and promotes widespread support for voluntary certification of responsibly sourced aggregate materials. Its focus over the past six years has been to engage industry and community stakeholders to develop its Responsible Aggregate Standard, which sets a high but achievable bar for socially and environmentally responsible practices in the aggregates sector.

Position
CSC is seeking applications from individuals interested in occasional contract auditing opportunities. Our organization is planning to complete four to eight independent audits of aggregates operations in Southern Ontario over the next 12 months. Audit teams will generally be comprised of two individuals with complementary expertise. Each audit is generally two days on site with document review and stakeholder outreach in advance and report writing post audit. Examples of audit reports can be found on our website.

We are seeking individuals with expertise in the aggregates industry; ecology; hydrology, biology; community engagement and/or Aboriginal groups engagement.  Successful individuals will have strong soft skills, an analytical mind, an organized approach to tasks and excellent writing skills. Previous auditing experience a bonus.

Location
Flexible, GTA preferred.
