AECON awarded Highway 11 project

January 4, 2016 – AECON Construction and Materials has been awarded the contract for realignment and rehabilitation work on Highway 11 near Powassan.

According to a report from Almaquin News, the $18.9 million project will upgrade a section of the highway between the Proudfoot level crossing north to the Clark Street interchange around Powassan. Powassan is located approximately 30km south of North Bay.

The construction work was originally scheduled to begin in the fall of 2015, but had been pushed to the spring of 2016.
