May 13, 2014, Abbotsford, BC – This fall, the construction
and trucking industries will take over TRADEX in Abbotsford. September 19-20,
2014 will see the return of TRUXPO and the arrival of the Pacific Heavy
Equipment Show. The two shows will be co-located at TRADEX and are expected to
draw thousands of visitors.

2014 will see the return of TRUXPO and the arrival of the Pacific Heavy
Equipment Show. The two shows will be co-located at TRADEX and are expected to
draw thousands of visitors.

 

“We are excited to be pairing these two events for the first
time,” said Mark Cusack, National Show Manager. “It’s a natural fit to combine
the trucking and construction industries. There’s a lot of crossover in terms
of both exhibitors and audience. Whether you are talking about a small
vocational operation or large road building contractor, you will find trucks,
trailers and heavy equipment. This is exactly what you will see in
September.”

Presented in partnership with the BC Trucking Association,
TRUXPO is Western Canada’s largest trucking and logistics show. It attracts
local, national and international exhibitors and visitors and showcases new
products and the latest in commercial trucking, logistics and transportation
equipment. This year, it will take over the entire TRADEX complex, plus 80,000
square feet of outdoor exhibit space.

 

Special features for the 2014 edition include:

Conference Program

  • The BC Trucking Association is organizing the conference program.
    Sessions will educate and inform trucking association and industry personnel
    with relevant industry information.

Industry Luncheon

  • As part of the conference program, there will be a ticketed
    industry luncheon with a special keynote speaker.

Multicultural Focus

  • We'll celebrate Canada's diverse trucking industry with a
    full day of hands-on driver and industry information sessions – plus special
    entertainment and ethnic & Canadian food.

Recruiting Here  

  • This popular feature encourages job seekers to come with
    resume in-hand. Drivers, mechanics and other related professionals are in
    demand all across the nation. Exhibitors will have the option to display special
    signage indicating they are hiring.

Show & Shine

  • Showcasing an impressive grouping of Show Trucks, all vying
    for honors in the Truck Beauty Show, the Show & Shine will be
    professionally judged. Presented by Pro-Trucker Magazine.

 

The Pacific Heavy Equipment Show will welcome equipment
owners, operators and purchasers representing general construction, trucking,
public works, utilities, aggregate production, road building and maintenance
from across western Canada to see, demo and purchase the equipment and services
they will need to sustain their operations into the future.

 

It will be an outdoor and tented event encompassing three
acres of both static and demo exhibits in the TRADEX north parking lot. The Demo
Zone will provide visitors with an opportunity to test equipment right on site
– in real operating conditions, so they can see exactly what the machines can
do.
