July 2, 2014, Montreal, Que. – The completion of the
construction of the A-35, leading from Montreal to Vermont, is one again facing
delays as the deadline for the last stretch of the highway has been removed.
According to an article from Global News, the remaining 38
kilometres of the highway was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.
However, Transport Quebec has removed that target from the plan, and has yet to
announce a new expected date of completion.
It is still expected that 25 kilometres of the remaining 38
kilometres will be completed by the end of 2015. The final portion of the
highway, from St-Sébastien to the border with Vermont, is the section lacking a
definitive timeline for completion.
