Epiroc acquires software firm MineRP

Epiroc has acquired MineRP, a software company specializing in increasing productivity for mines through integrated planning, execution and analytics.

MineRP has offices in South Africa, Canada, Australia and Chile. It supports large- and medium-sized mines globally in “strengthening and optimizing their operational efficiency by providing a leading software platform solution that integrates all technical mining data and other information such as machine data and ERP systems,” Epiroc said in a press release.

MineRP has 200 employees and reported revenue of about $16 million US in the 12 months ending June 30, 2020.

Epiroc is a Swedish-based global productivity and sustainability partner for the mining and infrastructure industries. Based in Stockholm, it has 14,000 employees and works with customers in about 150 countries.

MineRP is set to become part of Epiroc’s Technology and Digital Division.

The purchase price was not disclosed.
