Tolls coming to Toronto highways?

November 24, 2016 – Mayor of Toronto John Tory is expected to announce a proposal for introducing tolls on two major Toronto highways: the Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway, today at 12:40 p.m. EST during a speech at the Toronto Region Board of Trade, according to a recent news report from the CBC.

If implemented, the tolls are expected to raise $200 million in annual revenue, which would be used to fund transit projects in Toronto.
