Highway 63 twinning ahead of schedule

May 2, 2016  By  Andrew Macklin

May 2, 2016 – The Government of Alberta announced that it expects the twinning of Highway 63 to be completed in June, months ahead of the original October 2016 deadline.

According to an article from Fort McMurray Today, there are just three kilometres of the 240km twinning project remaining. The $1.2 billion project spans from Grassland to Fort McMurray.

The twinning is one of three road construction projects underway in Alberta valued at over one billion dollars, and in the final stages of completion. Construction work continues on the final portion of both the Edmonton and Calgary ring roads this summer.
