ORBA expands Road Building Academy

January 21, 2016  By  Andrew Macklin

January 21, 2016 – Ontario Road Builders’ Association (ORBA) unveiled its courses for its 2016 Road Building Academy. The 17 exclusive, Gold Seal accredited courses in the subject areas of Leadership, Business Management and Technical have been designed to educate more staff, including new courses for sales, human resource and health and safety professionals. Fourteen of the courses will take place during Academy Week, February 29 to March 4 at Sheridan College (Davis Campus) in Brampton.

The informative, custom courses have been designed to provide staff with practical concepts, tangible solutions and enhanced skills. Each Academy course presents current content and is delivered by professional educators and industry experts. Hosted in a professional learning environment, the interactive teaching creates an excellent forum for discussion and knowledge exchange with industry peers.

The Academy brochure with details on all 17 courses is now available. Member and non-member companies may register online at orba.org/academy.

ORBA supports and promotes the growth of Ontario’s transportation infrastructure industry. As the voice of over 200 road building contractors and suppliers, ORBA members build and maintain the majority of Ontario’s provincial highway system, municipal roads, bridges and other public transportation infrastructure, employing over 30,000 workers.
