CIBC plan to increase construction

Oct. 11, 2011 – I don’t usually devote a whole Economy at a Glance to a single report by an outside agency. However, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) recently issued a study, dubbed Energizing Infrastructure, that is so germane for the construction industry, it deserves full attention.

“Energizing Infrastructure” presents the case that governments can provide considerable stimulus for the economy through capital projects without adding significantly to debt.
