Supply, since 1992 the Ontario and Quebec distributor for Loadrite on-board
weighing systems for wheel loaders and excavators, has just been granted “legal
for trade” certification by Measurement Canada for its wheel loader scale
“We have been
working on this for five years and there is a huge amount of interest from all
of the aggregate operators in Ontario,” says president Mike Clarke.
This means
product can now be sold by weight directly from the loader, eliminating the
need for an expensive truck scale and scale house attendant. The status
also allows flexibility in the sense that a loader can be moved between
locations and the legal for trade scale goes with it.
The Loadrite scale has met Measurement Canada requirements, including
testing over two years at sites in Calgary and Halifax. It may now be installed
on wheel loaders with payloads of up to 14,000 kilograms measured in increments
of 50 kilograms.
